DISAPPEARING GLASS RODS

The exhibit calls for oil which matches the refractive index of special glass rods. We have used sunflower vegetable oil and "Borosil" glassrods. We have replaced the glass fabricated tank with glass beakers as the joints started to give away. We have provided dead weight so that the rods go to their "up" position when released.

PIN HOLE WALL

We have used a metal sheet with pin holes drilled in two positions so that two persons can view at the same time. Frosted plastic sheet is mounted in between clear sheets for the hand held screen. We have used the rear site to exhibit a few optical illusions as a bonus. To give stability for the Exhibit we have made a ballast box. We have also provided castor wheels with locks for easy alignment.

COLOR SHADOWS

This is a novel exhibit which children like to interact .We have made this exhibit into a table model as it is economical to use standard focus lights with potentiometer to control the intensity of each color to get good shadows. Color Cellophane paper is placed in front of the focus lights to get the color light. A glass top is placed on the lights so that the arrangement can be seen by the visitor.

COLOR REVERSAL

Usually only two colors Red and Green are used but we have also used the another color Blue also . Another difference is the addition of a Black exhibit " Rushi" with a head knot representing the saint figure . For some people it is not possible to have the after image effect and hence no color reversal takes place.
